I watched her chest rise and fall. Simple things like this fascinated me. Our room is dark and our shared bed is a mess of sheets. I watch the breeze brush the curtains aside to allow the moon to kiss her skin. I smile. She brings me joy. I look down at her resting. She isn't asleep , but her eyes are closed. She is listening to the breeze and the night creatures sing. I brush my finger tips slowly up her thigh. The flesh rises as if reaching for my touch as goosebumps appear. I kiss her neck softly and whisper "I love you". She turns slowly towards me, looking up at me. I look down upon her, I am the lucky one.
